Magnetic encoder
High-resolution scrolling.
Regular wheels move in steps, about 20 to 30 per turn. ORVY reads {steps} positions per turn with a contactless magnetic sensor, so it scrolls pixel by pixel, ultra smooth and precise. It spins on a ball bearing: one flick keeps it going.
